■ Research Purpose
○ With the rapid increase in the elderly population, the World Health Organization (WHO, 2007) has established guidelines for ‘age-friendly cities’ from the perspective of older individuals. These guidelines aim to create comfortable and convenient environments for old people to age in their local communities.
■ Research Methodology
○ The spatial scope encompasses towns and rural areas in 13 cities and counties in Jeonbuk. The temporal scope spans from 2020 (National Survey of Older Koreans) to 2022 (Rural Services Standards Compliance Survey).

○ An age-friendly rural environment is a setting where elderly individuals can age as vibrant and active participants in life, experiencing no physical, social, or service-related discomfort.
